Health and Wellbeing
We are committed to healthier indoor environments that support better lives.
A programme under Novel Initiatives for Development Foundation (NIDEF), focused on indoor environmental health, indoor air quality, asthma and allergy awareness, advocacy, and healthier indoor spaces across Africa.
Ventify Africa is a programme under Novel Initiatives for Development Foundation (NIDEF).
The programme focuses on indoor environmental health, indoor air quality, public health education, asthma and allergy awareness, environmental health advocacy, and healthier indoor spaces across Africa.
Ventify Africa was created to address the gap in public understanding of indoor air quality and its effect on health and wellbeing.
While outdoor air pollution is often discussed, indoor air quality is still overlooked, even though many individuals spend most of their time inside homes, schools, offices, religious centres, shops, clinics, workplaces, and other enclosed spaces.
Through education, research, community engagement, advocacy, and partnerships, Ventify Africa helps communities understand indoor environmental risks and take practical steps towards healthier indoor spaces.

To create a continent where individuals and communities have access to cleaner, healthier indoor air and can live, learn, work, and gather in safer indoor environments.
To improve indoor environmental health across Africa through awareness, education, research, advocacy, community engagement, and practical action on indoor air quality.
In many indoor spaces, individuals may be exposed to smoke, dust, mould, dampness, poor ventilation, chemical fumes, household pollutants, cooking emissions, and other environmental triggers without understanding their possible health effects.
Poor indoor air quality can affect respiratory health, heart health, cognitive function, mental wellbeing, comfort, sleep, productivity, and general quality of life.
Individuals living with asthma, allergies, and other respiratory conditions may also face indoor triggers that worsen their symptoms.
Ventify Africa exists to close this knowledge gap by making indoor environmental health information accessible, practical, and relevant to communities.
